Six friends.  Twenty-nine runes.  One almighty adventure.

Midyard.  The world of men.  A world of money, cars and discarded dreams.  A world held in thrall by its own importance.  The perfect place to hide something of worth.

Esyard.  The world of the gods.  Planet Earth in its highest dimension.  The world where Woden first wrote the runes.  A world left stunned when he cast them away.

For two thousand years, a bundle of runesheets has lain hidden in the houses of Midyard: stuffed into boxes, left in the corner and passed down from father to son.  To the six friends who find them, the runes bring the power to twist fate, but their exploits do not go unseen.  In dimensions they cannot imagine, heads are turning, some friendly, some less so.  When four worlds descend on their own, the whole of mankind will be left reeling.

Against all odds, one of the friends fights back.  But his craft begins to consume him.  As he spirals out of control, those who thought they could contain him now find they cannot.  When they try to restrain him, they unleash a still bigger threat: one even the gods could not have foreseen.

And to think they called it folklore...
